It can be frustrating at times when you are having trouble in getting the audio to work in Google Meet. Oftentimes in our experience, it is because you were using another program that failed to “release” the microphone and speaker for Google Meet. Whatever the cause of your problems, here is a simple guide that could help.
Here are two ways you can use phone audio in a Meet video meeting
You can have Meet call your US or Canadian phone number
-
- When you are in the meeting click on the “three dot icon” also known as “Kebab” icon.
-
-
If you are in the green room of a meeting, click on “Join and use a phone for audio” that is located on the right. Take note that if you are in a different domain as the meeting owner, then someone in the meeting might need to approve you.
-
Enter your phone number, and click on “Call me.”
-
Press “1” on your phone when prompted.
-
Or, you can Dial-In by phone
(Please take note that an administrator needs to turn on dial-in by phone.)
